Sheridan’s New Mayor and Council Take Oaths

Sheridan’s New Mayor and Council Take Oaths

The first Sheridan City Council Meeting of 2017 was held Monday night, and the big item on the agenda was the swearing in of the new Mayor and council. Judge Klepperich administered the Oaths of Office to re-elected Councilman Thayer Shafer and Councilwoman Kristin Kelly, newly elected Councilman Rich Bridger, and new Mayor Roger Miller. They join newly elected Council President Jesus Rios and Vice President Kelly Gooch, and Councilman Alex Lee to form the new City Council. Mayor Miller explained what his first words as Mayor were.

Mayor Miller was also selected to be the Council’s Voting Delegate for the Wyoming Association of Municipalities Winter Workshop next week. Council President Rios will be the alternate if the Mayor can not attend for any unforeseen reason. Miller had this message for the voters.

We will have more from the new Council President and Vice President in a later story.
