Sheridan Rec. District to Work on 3 to 5 Year Plan

The Sheridan Recreation District Board of Trustees met for their monthly meeting Wednesday night. Board Member Don Julian brought up the idea of formulating a 3 to 5 year plan for the Recreation District that would encompass just where they will be located in the coming years. Currently the Rec. District is using the old Woodland Park School just south of Sheridan.

Sheridan Recreation District Business Manager Rich Bridger.

One of the options that they will consider is moving back to the old Highland Park Facility where they were located prior to their move to Woodland.

Bridger indicated that another option that they've looked into is grant money that is available through the Wyoming Business Council that allows for renovation of old school buildings into community centers. Bridger said that they will enter into the discussion phase with School District Two shortly on possibly acquiring the Highland Park facility when it once again is no longer in use.
