Sheridan Police Investigate Crashes

Sheridan police investigated two vehicle crashes involving minor injuries Wednesday afternoon.

Citations were issued in both cases. Police Sgt. Travis Koltiska said the driver of one vehicle was taken to Sheridan Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure after two vehicles collided at the Main and Fifth street intersection.

He said the driver appeared to have only minor injuries, but the driver's air bag deployed. One driver was cited for running a red light. The accident happened about 1:20.

The second accident happened on Fourth Street shortly after 3 o'clock. That crash also involved two cars. One person appeared to have minor injuries, but the injuries did not warrant transport to the hospital. A driver in that incident was cited for failure to yield right-of-way.
