Sheridan Police And Wyoming Game And Fish Preparing For Hunting Season

In many parts of town, one need only look out their window to see deer and other wildlife. For the third year the Wyoming Game and Fish is working with the City of Sheridan to provide deer hunting opportunities inside the city limits. Police Sergeant Travis Koltiska…

Not only do you have to obtain a hunting license but city hunters must also get a permit from the Sheridan Police Department.

Permits will be available at the Police Department starting on Monday.

Only bow hunting is allowed in the city and hunters can find out what areas of the city are open when they get their permit. All Wyoming Game and Fish regulations still apply when attempting to harvest a deer under this management plan.

Also, permit holders will be required to fill out a harvest survey even if they don’t end up killing a deer this season. Click here for more information on city hunting areas.

Just Does.........

They should only allow the killing of Fawns and Does........ They are the "Breeders" I have NEVER witnessed a Buck EVER giving birth....... With the thought that one Buck can Father many Fawns, there should always be a decent supply of Deer to hunt.... Just not enough to kill with cars while driving........
