Americans celebrated “Tax Freedom Day” Thursday, but because Wyoming citizens are taxed at a rate slightly lower than the national average, that day came on Tuesday for people in the Cowboy State. Tax Freedom day is a demonstrative day calculated by the Tax Foundation to illustrate how much Americans pay in taxes each year. The earliest it ever came was January 22, 1900, and the latest was May 1, 2000.

CASA held their annual “Light of Hope” breakfast, which is to honor CASA Volunteers and recognize a Champion for Children. This year's Champion for Children was the Child Development Center. CDC Executive Director Sandi O'Dell.
