Sheridan Media Week In Review

Sheridan Media Week In Review

It's no surprise that the biggest story this past week was the 2012 General Election. President Barack Obama won his bid for re-election, defeating Republican Candidate Mitt Romney. Closer to home, it was Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey beating out challenger City Councilman Stever Brantz for what will be his third term as Mayor of Sheridan.

The Sheridan Region Game and Fish Office warned motorists that deer collisions in Sheridan County were on the rise and that citizens should be aware of more deer on the roadways than usual, as November and December are typically mating season for the animals.

Friday, Governor Matt Mead announced that Dayton resident Shelley Cundiff will take over as the new Circuit Court Judge in the Fourth Judicial District that makes up Sheridan and Johnson Counties. Cundiff will replace Judge John Sampson, who's announced his retirement at the end of the year.
