Sheridan Media Week in Review

Sheridan Media's Ron Richter takes a look back at a few of the top news stories from this past week.

An accident early Tuesday morning claimed the life of 61-year-old David Lee Aller of Sheridan. Aller was hit by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train between 1st Street and the N. Sheridan overpass in while walking down the tracks. According to a media release issued by the Sheridan Police Department, Aller failed to respond when the train blew its warning horn several times.

Progress was made between Sheridan and Johnson County regarding water rights on Lake DeSmet. Commissioner Mike Nickel.

On Friday, Governor Matt Mead announced that Buffalo rancher Mark Gordon would fill the State Treasurer Vacancy. Gordon was one of three candidates the Wyoming Republican Party Central Committee sent to Governor Mead to replace Joe Meyer who passed away on October 6th.
