Sheridan Man Arrested After Car Chase with Police

A high-speed car chase ended in a 31-year-old Sheridan man's arrest after he crashed his car into a light pole on Bellevue and Loucks Streets while trying to elude police early Saturday morning.

Lt. Chris Dahmke said that at about 1:56 am Saturday, police attempted to pull over Corianton Ingalls for failing to dim his high beams while he was southbound on Highland Avenue near Lewis street.

As officer Brian Phillips turned on his overhead lights, Ingalls increased his speed and made a left turn from Highland onto Loucks.

The chase continued on Loucks until Ingalls attempted to negotiate a left-hand turn onto Bellevue Street and his car hit a light pole, Dahmke said. Ingalls attempted to evade officers on foot and he was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

Ingalls was charged with DUI, eluding, resisting arrest and hit and run.
