Sheridan and Casper police are investigating the apparent kidnapping of a 38-year-old man by his 17-year-old stepson.

Tuesday morning at about 8:30, Casper police apprehended a juvenile male for a possible abduction / kidnapping of his stepfather earlier in the morning from Sheridan. Sheridan Police Detective Lt. Chris Dahmke explains.

Lt. Dahmke says officers learned that the vehicle might have been headed to Casper, and then heard from Casper police that indeed the juvenile was there and had been involved in a crash.

As to what happens now, law enforcement between Sheridan and Natrona Counties will be determining what charges will be filed. The investigation is ongoing, with hopes for an update later this week.
