A couple of showmen showed up Saturday night for the opening of the Sheridan Inn and really set the scene.

Mike Kuzara looked like an old-time gambler in his top hat, vest and tie and Wayne Baumann brought the former master of the house alive, Buffalo Bill Cody, who once owned the historic hotel.

Both said they've played there before and hope to again, Kuzara with his band and Baumann with his historic portrayal of the legendary showman.

Performing, once again, at the Sheridan Inn, might not be that far away. The new owners, Bob and Dana Townsend, said they hope to open the main floor for events by Christmas and have the grand opening in early spring.
