Sheridan Cowgirls Rodeo

Sheridan Cowgirls Rodeo

The pounding of hoof prints kicking up arena dust was the steady beat for Thursday night’s Sheridan Cowgirls Rodeo. Over 50 contestants saddled up to participate in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, team roping and steer stopping at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

Rodeo secretary Liz Kincaid tells us who can compete.

There are two other requirements.

Kincaid says Thursday nights highlight just what these cowgirls can do.

The Sheridan Cowgirls Rodeo is held weekly on Thursday nights beginning at 6. Next week the Cowgirls Rodeo will not take place, making room for the Sheridan WYO Rodeo. Competition resumes on the July 16th.
