The Sheridan County Commission has voted to accept applications for a retail liquor license that is available in the county.

During Tuesday's commission meeting, Chairman Mike Nickel explained more about the license and why the commission is now making the license available.

The county has issued a Notice Of Intent To Accept Applications for the retail liquor license, which allows the sale of alcoholic liquor and malt beverages for consumption on premise, off premise, or both.

The fee for the license will range from $1,000 to $1,500 per year depending on the proximity to municipal city limits of the establishment.

Questions and requests for applications for the retail liquor license can be directed to the County Clerk's Office.

All interested parties must have their completed applications to the Sheridan County Clerk's Office before 5pm on January 28th, 2019.
