The Sheridan County Fairgrounds received some good news this week as the National Park Service has formally listed the Fairgrounds Historic District on the National Register for Historic Places. Facilities Director Melissa Albrecht says that landing on the National Register is a great recognition, but that it also will allow for some funding opportunities in the future.
Albrecht said that the initiative to get the Fairgrounds listed on the National Register of Historic Places began several years ago when former Facilities Director Sharon Nadeau began the process.
