Sheridan County Commissioners Talk Construction, Grants and Cupcakes

The population of Clearmont nearly doubled Tuesday, as the Sheridan County Commissioners held their bi-monthly meeting in the Clearmont Town Hall. Commissioner Terry Cram

One of the first agenda items was cupcakes--specifically to approve an agreement with Cupcakes by Design to provide a snack cart in Sheridan County Airport.

County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller also presented several agenda items related to federal stimulus money

The County will be spending slightly over $50-thousand on this project, after initially budgeting $150-thousand, before receiving the grant money.

Ken Muller, County Engineer, spoke of an upcoming cap-tax road project, which is expected to begin in April

The Commissioners voted down an application for a setback variance, requested by Big Horn property owner, John Drake. Commissioner Terry Cram

The code requires residential buildings to be setback at least 5-feet from the property line. Drake had previously built a structure not in compliance with this code, and was requesting this variance so he may leave the building in tact to serve as an additional residential unit.
