Sheridan County Accepts Homeland Security Grant

The Sheridan County Commission has accepted a US Department of Transportation, Hazardous Materials Emergency Planning Grant award agreement through the Wyoming Homeland Security Office.

The grant will provide funding to develop, improve, and implement hazardous materials emergency plans under the Federal Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).

County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller explained more about the grant and what the county will use the funds for.

The grant award is for roughly $26,000 which will require a local match of about $6,500.
The matching funds will be provided by Sheridan Fire and Rescue.
