College Hosts Brown Bag Seminars

Overcoming Trauma is the focus of a Brown Bag Lunch Seminar today, Nov. 20, at Sheridan College on Main Street in downtown Sheridan.

The event is scheduled to start at 12:10, and will be presented by Lynn Gordon from the Family & Personal Counseling Center.

The seminar is one of a series offered by the counseling center and the college's Center for Workforce and Community Education. Organizers say there is no need to register, and the seminars are free. Individuals are invited to attend and bring a brown bag lunch.

This month's seminars have focused on “Self.” Two more will be offered in December to help people cope with getting through the holidays. The Dec. 11 event will be on holiday stress, and on Dec. 18, the focus will be on self-esteem.
