The Sheridan City Council received the second of two updates to the recently implemented traffic management plan Tuesday. Sheridan Police Chief Richard Adriaens and Lieutenant Andrew Conrad walked through a power point presentation outlining the various methods that officers will use to cut down on traffic accidents in Sheridan. Lieutenant Conrad says that first things first, they will begin to educate the public.

One method of the traffic management plan is to increase officer presence in the high accident areas around Sheridan. Another technique is to use electronic signage and message boards.

The Police Department is also going to be launching an email where residents can submit traffic complaints and concerns. An officer will be assigned to read through the complaints daily, and follow up with the individuals in regard to their issues or concerns. We will be sure to let you know when that email address goes live.
