Sheridan City Council Makes Decision On Bar And Grill Licenses

The City of Sheridan renews liquor licenses on an annual basis. At their last meeting, they renewed all but two of those licenses, with the exception being the bar and grill licenses that are currently held by Progressive Development and the New York Store.

At their meeting Monday night, the Council voted to not renew both of the licenses, which means they will go back to the City at the end of the year if no meaningful progress is shown by the license holders. Councilor Steve Brantz.

Ron Patterson, with Progressive Development, said that he is in talks with Longhorn Steakhouse, and that he is hoping for a definitive decision from them by mid-December.

The Council awarded the bar and grill licenses in May of 2008 for a two-year term that was contingent upon the license holder showing substantial progress during that two year period. The Council felt that both Progressive Development and the New York Store have shown very little indication of putting the licenses to use.
