The Sheridan City Council will meet for their final meeting of March this evening, and a couple of grant applications will be addressed first and foremost says Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey.

The Council will also consider a request to rezone just over 3 acres of land north of the Quail Ridge Drive and Covey Run Road intersection. Grimshaw Investments is proposing a 54-unit senior independent living project to be built in the area. Changing the zoning from R-1 residential to R-3 residential would allow for the building to be 10 feet higher than what it would have been under an R-1 residential zone.

The City Planning Commission approved the rezone request at their February 28th meeting. Tonight's Sheridan City Council meeting is at 7 o'clock in Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall. If you can't attend the meeting, you can listen to it live on AM 1410 KWYO.
