Senator Enzi Feels President Obama Has Shied Away From the Deficit Issue

Last year in December, the Simpson-Bowles Commission Report was released that outlined numerous short term and long term plans for reducing the national deficit. U.S. Senator Mike Enzi says that President Obama has failed to address the deficit issue head on.

The second “blown opportunity” Enzi says had to do with the President's budget.

Enzi stated that “we can't keep taking money that we can save, and spending it on new programs,” especially considering that there are a lot of duplicated programs that could be eliminated.
