U.S. Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming paid a visit to Sheridan Friday, and was the featured speaker at the Rotary luncheon. Answering a question that was on the mind of several in attendance, he addressed the shooting in Tucson January 8th.

Barrasso talked about many issues, predominantly the Health Care bill and the situation in Afghanistan. He took a trip to Afghanistan to ring in 2011 with the U.S. troops deployed there, and told Friday's audience that until the Afghan troops are fully trained to protect their own regions from the Taliban, we need to be there.

He spoke for about thirty minutes, and then ended by saying.

Senator Barrasso will be Kim Love's guest on the Wednesday, January 26th edition of Public Pulse. Senator Barrasso is also the Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, and he released the weekly Republican address today. You can listen to it here.
