There are roughly 380,000 federal employees on furlough and over 420,000 that are working without pay due to the partial government shutdown.

It seems likely that the shutdown will continue into the New Year with Congress and President Trump miles apart on the President’s request for $5 billion to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. U.S. Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming recently said that border security is critical to our Country.

President Trump said Friday on Twitter that he would close the U.S. border with Mexico if the “obstructionist Democrats” do not give him the money to finish the wall and change the Country’s ridiculous immigration law.
