The Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Joint Powers Board discussed the Sheridan Attainable Housing Initiative at their meeting Tuesday. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The Sheridan City Council recently approved a contract with Cascadia Partners, LLC, out of Portland, Oregon, in the amount of $29,200 to perform a code and policy audit, as a means to help address the housing issue in Sheridan. The code audit could eventually end up leading to a full blown housing study, and a possible partnership between SEEDA and the City in funding the study.

SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs said that both entities are currently hashing out the details on a request for proposals.

Briggs said that the RFP could be ready to come before the SEEDA board for their consideration in the next two to three weeks at special meeting of the board.
