Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the latest from Sheridan County School District Two.

Monday's meeting of the Sheridan County School District Two Board of Trustees started off with a special introduction, courtesy of two Sheridan High School students.

The first order of business was recognizing James L. Sturdevant, a decorated Vietnam veteran and former Sheridan High student, who qualified for a diploma through the Veterans’ Affairs Commission under “Operation Recognition.”

Additionally, Razmick Sarkissian was welcomed into the Wyoming Music Education Association.

We previously reported on a social media policy that was approved - on first reading - at the most recent board meeting on January 14th. Under recommendation from their legal team, the board agreed to table the item until early March. The policy will be reworded and heavily revised in the meantime, until the board decides to approve or reject another first reading.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Scott Hininger, explains the decision.

The board also approved a variety of district policies, a handful or first readings and a few on second reading. After some discussion and clarification requested by Trustee Jim Perkins, the policies were unanimously approved.
