Train Derailment on Highway 338

UPDATE-
Matt Jones, Regional Public Affairs Director for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway has confirmed that Highway 338 has been reopened to one-lane traffic, as flaggers are one scene and assisting with vehicle traffic.

Jones said that a BNSF train carrying coal derailed at approximately 12:30 Friday, causing the highway to be closed temporarily. He added that there were no injuries and that at this time it is uncertain what caused the derailment or how long before the road is completely reopened.

A bipartisan measure, led by Republican U.S. Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming and Democrat U.S. Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon, would ensure people who are traveling with a secured knife are not prosecuted under local or state laws.
