The first Concert in the Park was held Tuesday night at the bandshell at Kendrick Park in Sheridan. The large crowd was treated to a special evening of music as the U.S. Air Force Academy Band made a stop in Sheridan as part of the group’s tour through Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska.

“A Portrait in Place” Exhibit

An artists’ reception was held Tuesday night in the Ucross Foundation Art Gallery near Clearmont featuring the ‘land art’ of the foundation. Called “A Portrait in Place,” the exhibit features the work of six artists who have recently been artists-in-residency at Ucross.

Governor Requests Disaster Declaration, Johnson County Awaits President's Decision

Last week, Wyoming Governor Matt Mead requested a presidential disaster declaration for Johnson and Niobrara Counties, which would qualify individuals and small businesses for federal assistance to help fund cleanup from the flooding that occurred in May and early June in those counties.
