The Sheridan/Johnson County Opportunity Project for Education program or SCOPE held their graduation ceremony Friday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there.

The auditorium at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan was teaming with proud parents and family members as ten students received their GED. SCOPE Director Sarah Riehn says that the program is much more than just providing GED preparation.

SCOPE, which began nine years ago, is a community partnership between Sheridan College, the Department of Workforce services and other local community foundations and businesses. The 12-week program is offered in the spring and fall and is available to youth between the ages of 16-21.
