SCJC Artist Showcase Series Contunues This Month

Sheridan College in Johnson County has taken some time off from their Artist Showcases, but has a new exhibit up now that will be featured until the end of May.

The show is called “Around The Barn And Into The Garden,” and features two local artists whose talents are a bit different from each other but still have a common theme.

Ashlea Redding, Serfvices Specialist with SCJC, tells us more about the artists and their artwork.

Campion's show is called “Around The Barn” and features more “traditional” art that she calls “animal art with expressionism.”

Baker's “Yard Sparkles” are garden sculptures made of “rescued” glass designed to add sparkle and color to flower, vegetable and other gardens. Most are decorative but some are designed as bird baths or feeders.

The artwork has been on display since the beginning of April and will remain up through the end of May.

An Artists' Reception will be scheduled at the beginning of May, and Redding will release that information when it is scheduled.
