School Board Approves Early Graduates

Buffalo High School Principal Chad Bourgeois spoke to the school board at their meeting this week, bringing requests from a number of students that wished to apply for early graduation.

Four students had made the request of the principal and he in turn was seeking the approval of the board. He said this year is much the same as any yea, where three to four students typically will request early graduation. Not all that are approved will actually do it, he said, some will opt to stay in school their final semester, but he always seeks the approval of the board for all that qualify incase they choose to do so.

Bourgeois came to the board this month for their approval because two of the kids wanted to start taking college courses, which would begin before the school board's next meeting in January.

The board approved the student's request for early graduation, with Bourgeois left with the final decision to approve them individually or not, based on their requirements at the high school.
