SCFPL Unloads Books On New Readers

Every first grader in Sheridan got a free book at the Fulmer Public Library yesterday morning, courtesy of the Wyoming Reads program.

The statewide organization is dedicated to promoting childhood reading, and completion of the first grade is a big literary benchmark. Cameron Duff, director of the library, invited every new reader in the county to stop by and get their very own book to celebrate.

The kids were bussed to the library to participate in some activities and pick up their books. Afterward, they went back to class.
