Registration is currently open for the upcoming 2016 Bluegrass Camps For Kids to be held July 6th through the 8th at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, the week before the 12th Big Horn Mountain Festival.

According to the Big Horn Mountain Festival website, the Bluegrass Camps for Kids is open to kids ages 9 to 18 interested in learning more about guitar, bass, banjo, fiddle, and vocals.
Kids will experience band class with each other, daily jams, square dances, at projects and optional private lessons during the camp.
They will also perform together on the main stage Friday afternoon during the festival itself.

Students are limited to just 35 spots and all levels of musicianship from novice to experienced are welcome.

The early registration fee for the Bluegrass Camps For Kids is $200 from now until May 15th, then it will increase to $225 per camper.
Scholarships are available for eligible Johnson County residents.

Guest teachers for this year's Bluegrass Camps for Kids will be members of the “Steep Ravine” band.
