SAGE Receives Foundation Grant

The Sheridan Artists Guild has received a grant of $7,300 from the Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation Endowment Fund and the Kim and Mary Kay Love Family donor-advised Endowment Fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation.

The grant will be used to fund general operating costs and salaries for the artist guild, which is also known as SAGE.

Bernie Spielman is with the Sheridan-Johnson Community fund. He talked about how SAGE was selected to be a grant recipient.

He said the foundation awards grants twice a year to non-profit organizations. SAGE operates the Sagebrush Art Center, which is in the Historic Train Depot at 201 E. Fifth Street in Sheridan. The art center hosts local, regional and national art shows and sales, gallery talks, artist-in-residency presentations by Jentel and educational workshops. The center is open free to the public.
