Routine Traffic Stop Tuesday Yields Over Four Pounds Of Psilocybin Mushrooms

A routine traffic stop 13 miles west of Laramie Tuesday morning resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of psilocybin mushrooms, which ended up being largest single seizure of mushrooms ever made by state troopers. Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant Stephen Townsend.

The only occupant of the vehicle was the driver, 25 year old Anthony Devries from Boulder City, Nevada. Townsend says that investigators believe the mushrooms were en-route to the windy city.

Townsend said that Devries has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The charge is a felony and Devries faces up to ten years in prison and a $10,000 fine or a combination of both.
