Rope For Knowledge Sunday At Johnson County Fairgrounds

The Fourth Annual Rope For Knowledge Scholarship Roping to benefit college students from Johnson County will be this Sunday, August 19 beginning at 9am at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo.

The roping benefits the Johnson County Scholarship, which helps students from Johnson County with money to pursue higher education at any of the three campuses in Northeast Wyoming: Sheridan College, Sheridan College in Johnson County, or Gillette College. The only requirement is the recipient must be from Johnson County.

Ashlea Redding, Services Specialist with SCJC, tells us more about the Rope For Knowledge.

Participants must pre-register, and entries close at 5pm this Friday.

For those interested in applying for the Johnson County Scholarship, Redding said to stop by the SCJC campus on South Main Street or fill out the application on the back of the fall schedule in this week's newspaper.

For more information on entry fees and schedule for events, contact SCJC at 684-2001.
