Rogers Completes 4th Climb of the 7 Summits

Back in 2010 local mountain climber Darren Rogers climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Several years later in 2016 he climbed Mt. Everest in Asia and last December he summited Mt. Aconcagua in South America. At the end of May, Rogers climbed the 4th out of the 7 Summits, the highest mountains on each continent. He shared what his journey up Mt. Elbrus in Europe was like.

Rogers said that when he climbed to the top of Kilimanjaro almost a decade ago, he never had aspirations to complete the 7 Summits.

Next up for Rogers is Mt. Vinson in Antarctica next January. After that the remaining summits are Denali in North America and Carstensz Pyramid in Australia.
