Road And Bridge Updates Jo Co Commission on Trabing Road

Johnson County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer was asked by the county commissioners at their June 5th meeting how the Trabing Road Project was progressing.

Pehringer said he has been happy with both the contractor and how the work has been progressing so far, saying “I'm very pleased with Trabing.”

The $6.5 million project will consist of grading, draining, and pavement surfacing, fencing and other miscellaneous work on slightly more than eight miles of Trabing Road (County Road 13) south of Buffalo.
Completion is set for October of 2012.

Public meetings to discuss the progress on the Trabing Road Project are held every Wednesday morning in the contractor's trailer at the intersection of Trabing and Red Hills Roads.

CMAQ, or Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Dust Abatement was also discussed at the meeting. Pehringer told the commissioners that Road and Bridge will be performing CMAQ dust mitigation on approximately 130 miles of roads in the county this summer.
