Results From Saturday's 'Rope For Knowledge' Event

Sheridan College in Johnson County held their annual “Rope For Knowledge” event Saturday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo.

The 11th annual roping event raises money for their Johnson County Scholarship Fund for Johnson County residents to attend Gillette College, Sheridan College, or Sheridan College in Johnson County.

The events include barrel racing, calf breakaway roping, team roping, and youth dummy roping with prize money for the top finishers in each event.

Fees paid to participate are split half for event winners and half for the scholarship funds.

Money raised each year, according to organizers, is typically from $6,500 to $8,500 each year.

Scholarship recipients for the coming year were announced and are Beth Green, Joshua Daniel Olsen, and Haley Wright.

In junior barrels, 1. Autumn Lane, 2. Karly Davis, 3. Karly Petersom, 4.Patsy Graves.

In team roping, 1. Cati Thompson/Cody Brewer, 2. Ed Roulette/Shane Ellenwood, 3. Travis Anesi/Casey Tackett, 4. Robyn Taylor/Layne Rodriguez. Super Loop: Preston Anesi/ Casy Tackett.

In adult/youth roping, 1. Zane Neville-Ace Neville, Tammy Perry Neville. 2. Bronc Vineyard-Toby Vineyard, Amy Vineyard. 3. Brad Neville-Ace Neville. 4. Quinn Harman-Larry Harman, Beth Harman. Super Loop: Zane and Ace Neville.
