The Buffalo City Council and the Johnson County Commission approved funding to redesign Crazy Woman Square last month.

The next step in the process is to hire an engineering/architectural firm to redesign the square, according to Zach Montgomery, Buffalo City Planner.

The Vision Buffalo Committee, at their meeting September 2, approved Montgomery to advertise for proposals to design the square.

Montgomery explains where in the process the project now sits.

Proposals for the design of the project will be taken until Friday, September 30, when the bids will be publicly opened. The Vision Buffalo Committee will act as the selection committee and will make a recommendation to the council for their approval.

Once the council makes its decision, Montgomery explains what happens next.
