Representative Lummis Is Confident That Wyoming Will Have Its Say In Health Care Summit

Senate Republicans announced this week that U.S. Senators John Barrasso and Mike Enzi are two of of the seven senators that the party is sending to President Obama's health care summit. U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis says that the people of Wyoming's voice will be heard at the summit.

Lummis said that unfortunately, she believes the President’s recent proposal and the timing of its release suggest that the only option is to take it or leave it. Furthermore, Lummis stated that rather than leaving the door open for compromise, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the President and congressional Democrats have no interest in listening to the majority of Americans who have resoundingly rejected their massive reform proposals in favor of a step by step approach. The President’s Health Care Summit will take place at the White House today.

Republicans distort the what American's really want.

" interest in listening to the majority of Americans..." Are you kidding me? 60% of Americans want and support a public option. Will the House and Senate Republicans support that? Come on Ms. Lummis, get real... you aren't listening. Quit distorting the facts.
