State Representative Rosie Berger

There has been a lot of discussion leading up next week's legislative session about changes to the state's retirement system. Representative Rosie Berger says that probably isn't going to be happening anytime soon.

Berger says that one of the proposals has to do with not having any cost of living adjustments.

Another aspect of the retirement system that has gained its fare share of attention is implementing a defined contribution system.

The retirement system debate is sure to garner some attention at this year's legislative session, but as far as wholesale changes go, most likely won't be happening this year. Be sure to join us Saturday for the last in our series with Representative Berger, where we'll hear about some of the education issues that will be addressed this session.
