Regulating mobile vendors is an issue that officials with the City of Sheridan are currently taking a look at. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Sheridan Mayor Roger Miller said the City is currently vetting the option of implementing regulations pertaining to mobile vendors, such as the vendors that pop-up occasionally on Coffeen Avenue.

Miller said that currently there are no regulations on private property in an area zoned for commercial.

City Planning and Economic Development Director Robert Briggs said that they’ve been investigating how other communities are dealing with mobile vendors.

Briggs said that for the time being, they will continue to take a look at what other communities are doing, and that they will combine that with feedback that they are soliciting from the local business community.
