The Wyoming Secretary of State's Office has announced that the petition filed earlier this week in regards to a proposed referendum on Senate Enrolled Act 1, originally known as Senate File 104, did not have the number of signatures required by the Wyoming Constitution. Senate Enrolled Act 1 is legislation that was passed during the last session that essentially stripped Superintendent Cindy Hill of her duties as head of the state Education Department. The Wyoming Constitution Party sponsored the proposed referendum effort.
