Redistricting Public Hearing Set for Story Next Week

The Wyoming State Legislature's Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee is in charge of coming up with the final redistricting bill that will come before the Legislature early next year. The committee will hold a meeting in Sheridan on Monday, September 19th to take public comment and suggestions on redistricting and to consider the plan put together by legislators from Sheridan and Johnson County.

State Senator Bruce Burns says that he's put together a meeting in Story that will take place prior the the Corporations Committee meeting on the 19th.

Burns says that there are currently three options on the table, but that it will most likely come down to a couple of different options.

The redistricting meeting in Story will take place Monday, September 12th at 6 pm at the Story Woman's Club. Next Wednesday the 14th, the local delegation will hold a meeting at the Sheridan County Courthouse to determine a final plan to take to the Corporations Committee on the 19th.
