Recovery Effort For Missing Child Resumes

The recovery effort for the body of a 4-year-old girl who went missing more than a week ago in the Powder River near Buffalo after falling through the ice will resume on Saturday.

Johnson County Sheriff Steve Kozisek, who identified the child as Chevell Boshaw-Evans, gave us the update.

He said they’ll decide whether to continue the search past Saturday or postpone the effort again at some point Saturday night. The child fell through the ice a week ago, Sunday night, while being carried across the river by her father, Robert. He was pulled to safety and treated at a local hospital for hypothermia.
