Ranchester Council Receives Update on Safe Routes To School Project

The Ranchester Town Council received an update on the status of the "Safe Routes To School" Project at their meeting Tuesday night. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has more.

The "Safe Routes To School" project consists of over 1,400 feet of sidewalk in Ranchester that runs from the Buckhorn Grocery Store to Middle School Drive. Ranchester Grant Administrator Melinda Johnson says things are almost finished.

Johnson said that the sidewalk should be complete by the time school starts.

Johnson also informed the Council that there is a public hearing set for next week on the Ranchester Entryway Rehab

The majority of the funding is contingent on approval of a grant application that's been submitted to the Wyoming Business Council. The public hearing for the Ranchester Entryway Rehab Project is Thursday, August 27th at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall.
