Ramaco Carbon Announces Partnership with Carbon

Ramaco Carbon LLC of Sheridan has announced a production partnership agreement with Carbon, a Silicon Valley-based 3D manufacturing company.

Under the agreement, Ramaco will produce a variety of products and component parts for third parties using Carbon's high-speed 3D printers. The components will be manufactured at Ramaco's Wyoming iPark industrial facility outside Sheridan.

According to Ramaco officials, the company expects to announce some of the first products soon.

According to Ramaco, Carbon's 3D printing is regarded as the most advanced form of new manufacturing technologies. Ramaco Carbon intends to create a series of carbon-based industrial and manufacturing facilities at its integrated Brook Mine, iCAM and iPark.

Randall Atkins, chairman and CEO of Ramaco Carbon, said Carbon is a high-tech pioneer and global leader in 3D printing, and Ramaco is extremely excited to bring the Silicon Valley company to Wyoming as Ramaco's partner. He said 3D printing is becoming the transformative advanced manufacturing technique of the 21st century.

Dana McCallum, head of production partnerships at Carbon, said Ramaco is his company's first production partner in Wyoming.
