Rabies Clinic Off to Great Start

The annual Dog and Cat Shelter Rabies Clinic began Tuesday and according to Shelter Director Debie Crawford, by midway through the first day the participation was great.

Dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier and Crawford says a pillowcase works best for cats.

Animal Control Officer Ed Boone agrees for cats, pillowcases work well.

The rabies clinic continues through Saturday, held from 8-1, at the bandshell in Kendrick Park. The cost is $10. Dog licenses, which are $10 and $15 for unaltered animals, can also be purchased at the same time.
