The City of Sheridan may soon have a new policy regarding purchasing and procurement. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Currently, the City of Sheridan has only one resolution regarding purchasing and procurement, and that is the "buy local" resolution, that was adopted in 2011. City Treasurer Karen Burtis said that many different versions of a purchasing and procurement policy have been undertaken over the years, but none have been adopted by the City. That will soon change however, as Burtis presented the Council with a Purchasing and Procurement Policy at their recent study session.

The resolution adopting the Purchasing and Procurement Policy is expected to be considered for approval at an upcoming regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council.
