Public Works To Buffalo Council: Crews Busy With Projects

Public Works To Buffalo Council: Crews Busy With Projects

The Buffalo City Council heard an update at their last meeting from Public Works Director Les Hook who said city crews have been busy with numerous projects since the previous council meeting.

Crews were concentrating on removing lights and light poles from Centennial Park in preparation of work on the sports fields complex to begin in earnest. The lights and poles were down last week.

The city's raw water line, which supplies irrigation water to parks, the golf course and other city-owned properties has had another leak, he said, and has now repaired for a fourth time this summer.

The high-pressure water line project to the schools is going well but did create some issues with traffic flow at the beginning of school earlier this week.

School crosswalks should be repainted this week.

Finally, the 18-inch water transmission line project from the water treatment plant west of town to the city will break ground on September 4.
