The Hub on Smith in Sheridan will be holding three public meetings on Wednesday with the purpose of introducing and sharing information about the new fixed bus route that Goose Creek Transit will begin in October. The meetings will all happen on Wednesday, September 18th at the Hub on 211 Smith Street, with a 9am, 3pm, and 7pm option. Thanks to funding from a Community Service Block Grant the new service will not require a fare, although donations will be accepted.

The fixed route service area will extend from the north end of town to the Covey Run Apartments on the west side of town and to Brundage Lane on the south end, with many stops in between. Busses will run every hour between 7am and 7pm Monday through Friday with limited weekend hours of 8am-1pm. No advanced reservations are needed as users will simply wait at one of the designated stops before the scheduled time. All other Goose Creek Transit services will still be available to the public.
